OUR LIBRARY
The Prep library prepares students to be researchers, critical thinkers, and lifelong readers. Built in 2006 as New Mexico's first Gold LEED-certified building, the library is at the heart of our campus. Its stunning design offers spaces for learning, collaboration, and quiet study, including group tables, individual carrels, glass study rooms, flexible instruction areas, and an outdoor reading garden.
Artificial intelligence is changing not only how students conduct research, but also what information they encounter. AI is becoming an invisible intermediary between students and the information ecosystem, often leading them toward scholarship that is openly accessible while leaving valuable research behind subscription paywalls, unseen. This makes the library's role more important than ever, helping students understand not simply how to find information, but how to question what they’re seeing and what information may be missing.

Space to Think
Our extensive collection supports both academic research and pleasure reading, with a growing selection of YA fiction, graphic novels, comics, and manga that help create engaged, lifelong readers. Students have 24/7 access to digital research resources both on and off campus, ensuring they're prepared to find reliable information whenever and wherever they need it. Director of Library Services Catherine McKenzie provides instruction in research skills, bibliographic instruction, information literacy, educational technology, and book talks.
